Chesham Environmental Group

Chesham Environmental Group logoAbout us:  CEG is an active, voluntary group that cares for the environment of Chesham. We get involved practically in working to improve it. About once a month a party goes out, usually on a Sunday morning, to carry out some tasks which will really make a difference. As well as the practical work, indoor meetings are called about four times a year to discuss the needs and to plan the work.

Environmental Group volunteers in action

Our main occupation during the winter months is to tidy up Chesham, both litter and vegetation, working along the banks of the River Chess, The Moor, the Backs, Meades Water Gardens, Holloway Lane and Captains Wood.  We also work throughout the year with the local authorities, and groups such as Chesham in Bloom, Chiltern Society and Newtown Baptists in tidying up around town. We have recently been asked to help Paradigm Housing plant a hedge at the top boundary of the cemetery, and we are always always in need of more volunteers.
