Emerging Local Plan for Chiltern

Chiltern District Council is developing a Local Plan that will set policies for determining planning applications, site allocations and broader land designations (like Green Belt Areas) to cover 2014 to 2036. This follows the withdrawal of the Delivery Development Plan Document and will also replace the adopted Core Strategy. The Plan will cover the whole of the Chiltern District, which includes Chesham.

The District Council is putting together an evidence base for the Local Plan and is currently running an initial consultation and call for sites until the 6th March 2015. We would like to encourage Chesham residents to put their views forward. To read more about the Local Plan and to download their consultation documents, please visit Chiltern District Council's web site

The Town Council will be discussing the emerging Local Plan at its Development Control meeting on Monday 26th January. This meeting will take place at the Town Hall (HP5 1DS) from 7.30pm. Members of the public are welcome to attend. You can download the agenda, reports and background papers for this meeting here: Development Control Papers 26 January 2015 (PDF, 1.8MB).
