Annual Town Meeting - 9th May
Our Annual Town Meeting will be held in the Council Chamber at the Town Hall on Thursday 9th May 2019 at 7.30pm.
The Town meeting is an opportunity for all members of the public to hear about the actions taken by, and policies of, the Town Council over the last 12 months and plans for the forthcoming administrative year. It is also the chance for the local tax-payer to raise questions or make suggestions on any matters that affect the town.
Also in attendance will be representatives of Thames Valley Police who will give a review of policing matters in Chesham over the last 12 months, along with the annual review of the activities of the Environmental Group.
The winners of the Mayoral Awards will also be announced at the meeting. There are three categories this year: The People’s Award - for those who have helped the well-being, advancement and welfare of Chesham and/or its residents and The Business Award - supported by the Chiltern Chamber to celebrate business/retail outlets in Chesham that contribute to the community and the Volunteer Team Award for a team of people that makes a positive difference to Chesham and its community.
As always, we would like to encourage as many of our residents as possible to attend this important annual meeting.
