New Freewomen and Freeman of Chesham

At the Annual Town Meeting held on the 9th May, it was announced that four deserving nominees had been admitted to the Honorary Freeman and Freewoman Scheme, joining existing Freemen, Vince Crompton and Phil Folly. The scheme exists to recognise the exceptional services that some of our residents render to the community.

Kat Merchant and Rocky Clarke MBE became Honorary Freewoman of Chesham in recognition of their World Championship titles and for services to developing rugby in Chesham.

Mora Walker was nominated for her long service to local government and founding role in Chesham Museum.

Rod Culverhouse was made a Freeman due to his long service to the Chesham Chamber of Trade and Commerce and promotion of Chesham High Street over many years.
