Success at the Nationals for Chesham in Bloom

Chesham in Bloom hard at work

Chesham achieved a Silver Gilt award (just one step down from Gold) at the Britain in Bloom National Finals 2017. This is an amazing result for a first-time entry. Chesham Town Council would like to congratulate everyone involved, and is very proud that our Parks team, office staff and councillors contributed to such a good result.

Chesham was selected to represent the Thames & Chilterns region in the National Finals this year in the Large Town Category. Two national judges were taken on a tour of the town and visited many open spaces, such as Lowndes Park and the Cameron Road allotments, as well as visiting the town centre and the newly revamped station garden.

This fantastic result is testament to the local community, businesses and organisations coming together to make the town green, clean and tidy. Congratulations to all involved.
