Chesham Town Council came into existence in 1974 and is the parish authority for the town of Chesham. The population of the town is 23,056 and there are 8,176 households (2020 census), making it the largest town in the Chiltern district. Chesham Town Council’s mission statement is: ‘To improve the quality of life of the residents of Chesham'.
